5k Run - Sept 5, 2009 - Hosted by Ypsilanti Area Chamber of Commerce
On Saturday, September 5, 2009, the Ypsilanti Area Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a 5k Run sponsored by Quantum Physical Therapy Centers at EMU's Rynearson Stadium from 5:00 to 7:00pm, in conjunction with the EMU vs. Army football game. Immediately following the run, there will be a free tailgate on the track of the stadium just prior to kick-off.
In addition to a free ticket to the game, participants will receive a t-shirt (if registered before August 31), water bottle, numbered bid and chip timer, medal, as well as fun giveaways and coupons. The fastest man and woman will receive $100, which will be awarded during the football game. Participants may also order additional tickets to the football game (and post-run tailgate) in advance for $3 each.
The entry fee is $25 per person, or $20 if part of a corporate team of four or more, if registration is received prior to August 31. After that, the fee will be $30. For participants under the age of 10 or who are members of the ROTC/Armed Forces, the entry fee is $10. Registration is available online at ypsichamber.org or by calling (734) 482-4920. All proceeds will go towards the Chamber's Economic Development initiatives.
