Overall DetroitIntern.com's (Detroit Intern, you can also call us DI) mission is not to replace human resources departments or list every job ever created like some career sites. Our focus is different. We are the regional specialist committed to Metro Detroit, Southeastern Michigan, and surrounding areas. Detroit Intern provides only quality opportunities that offer work experience to assist with career decision making, college credit, and sometimes a little money. Therefore, we will never have one million opportunities listed, watered down to the point where a user can find 10 (maybe!) career-enhancing opportunities in Southeastern Michigan and Metro Detroit. The DI Team works hard to make sure every internship, externship, summer program, etc. listed on DetroitIntern.com is a quality opportunity. Employers Our regional specialization brings you quality candidates that YOU will hire. We can't tell you that we have 12,000,000 registered users and 1,000,000 resumes. Why? Because there are only 4.5 million or so people in Southeastern Michigan and who wants to sift through 1,000,000 resumes (since 99.8% of the resumes will be useless). What we can tell you:
We are not a university career services office. Detroit Intern promotes your position and your business. This year, we are offering a variety of premium marketing and adveristing mediums. These features are especially great for smaller employers and lesser known industries to attract students and young professionals.

Students & Young Professionals Detroit Intern provides quality career-enhancing oppportunities for college students, high school students, and post-secondary graduates. Users can place their resume on file allowing you to apply directly to employers on Detroit Intern when requested and make you more competitive as employers have access to the DI resume database. In addition, Detroit Intern provides supplemental services such as the DI Pongo Resume Builder for users without access to career services offices. Finally, we also provide free resources to better your job candidacy.
DetroitIntern.com's executive team comprises of two Michiganders committed to Southeastern Michigan. Both are University of Michigan graduates and have retained connections to many of Southeastern Michigan's colleges and universities. |
